Rigaku ResQ CQL offers first responders, border protection, and law enforcement an advanced method for identifying potential threats in an improved tactical form factor, thereby improving functionality particularly in high stress environments. By combining the 1064 nm Raman advantage with improved ergonomics and sample presentation, ResQ CQL makes it even easier to perform chemical analysis of powders, liquids, gels, mixtures and more.

With its latest release, the ResQ CQL 2.0 delivers an enhanced graphical user interface with a more streamlined workflow – making it even easier to use, coupled with improved analytical performance. With thousands of units deployed globally, first responders, border protection, law enforcement, and the military have chosen Rigaku’s portfolio to identify chemical threats in high stress environments.

  • Improved algorithm enhancements for high-quality results
  • Automatic mixture analysis of up to 5 components
  • Identify bulk and trace levels of substances for both presumptive and confirmatory results
  • Add pictorial evidence using on-board camera for traceability
  • Adjustable focal position to accommodate sampling through different packaging

The 1064 nm Raman Advantage

The Progeny ResQ CQL is an improved chemical detection system that uses Raman spectroscopy to identify unknown compounds. The unique 1064 nm Raman advantage of the handheld Progeny ResQ CQL  provides users with the ability to identify coloured substances or through coloured packaging while eliminating fluorescence sample interference common to older generation handheld Raman analysers.  Users can expect reliable results in less than a minute – every time!

Expansive Library

The ResQ CQL handheld Raman analyser includes a standard library of over 13,000 Raman-active chemicals – including explosives, chemical warfare agents (CWAs) precursors, hazardous chemicals, narcotics, cutting agents, pesticides, steroids and more – as well as the added capabilities to upgrade, transfer, and translate entries. The utilization of 1064 nm Raman excitation provides users with the ability to identify more with reduced fluorescence interference – common to older generation models, thus providing the most advanced explosives and narcotics analyser available.

Analysis of Non-Visible Substances

QuickDetect mode is a capability that provides automated colorimetrics’ analysis for trace or non-visible amounts.  This feature removes the human-error and subjectivity of traditional color reagent kits.  By combining the industry’s most advanced 1064nm handheld Raman with QuickDetect, the ResQ CQL is the first field-ready handheld Raman tool to provide both bulk and trace analysis of hazardous chemicals, narcotics, explosives, and chemical warfare agents in seconds.

Available Accessories

For even more convenience, various accessories are available to fit most sampling needs. These will assist when analysing various forms of a substance, as well as keep the user safe from a potentially hazardous material

  • Adjustable nose
  • Vial adaptor
  • Bottle adaptor
  • Tablet adaptor
  • Periscope adaptor

Industry Certifications/Compliance

The ResQ CQL handheld 1064 nm Raman analyser goes beyond industry standards for traditional handheld Raman analysis. To ensure quality use in the field that is also an acceptable testing method, ResQ CQL has undergone several certifications, including:

  • MIL-STD 810-G rugged
  • SWGDRUG Category A for presumptive testing
  • SWGDRUG Category C for confirmatory testing (with QuickDetect)
  • FDA 21 CFR Part 11 traceable reports
  • IP-68 decontamination
  • ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing facility
